Fayette County Fair Queen Contest

We’re so excited you’re interested in being part of the Queen Contest! Below is everything you need to know to feel prepared and confident.
Contest Week Schedule
- Monday, June 22
- 6:00 PM (required practice)
- Tuesday, June 23
- 6:00 PM (required practice)
- Thursday, June 25
- 6:00 PM (optional)
- You can help with Junior Miss practice if you’d like
- We’ll have a final run-through after Junior Miss practice
QUEEN CONTEST
- Saturday, June 27
- 6:00 PM (required practice)
- Connersville High School Auditorium
- Interviews will be in the afternoon (around 2 PM, depending on contestants)
- You’ll have time on stage before and after your interview for a quick walk-through
- Please note: Because you will be elevated on stage, choose formal wear that provides appropriate coverage and confidence from all viewpoints.
- Practice: T-shirt (provided), black pants, sneakers (wear for first stage appearance)
- Business wear: pants, knee-length skirt, or knee-length dress (Interview & Question)
- If you choose to wear heels, they must be 3 inches or shorter
- Formal wear: your evening gown
- Please note: Because you will be elevated on stage, choose formal wear that provides appropriate coverage and confidence from all viewpoints.
- A headshot (a selfie is totally fine—we’ll help format it)
- Your completed form
- Remember: what you submit goes directly to the judges

Who is eligible to run: young ladies, ages 17-21
Queen will receive a $500 scholarship; 1st and 2nd runners up will each receive a $250 scholarship

- Change into dress outfit (Question 2 Session)
- Junior Miss winner will be recognized on stage with the newly named queen and the court during the Queen Contest on June 27th.
- All contestants are invited to attend and sit in a designated spot during the queen contest.

The Fayette County Free Fair and its governing board are not responsible for accidents, including but not limited to loss, theft, or damage to merchandise or personal property. Vendors operate at their own risk.

20 foot X 24 foot Per Day $10.00
20 foot X 24 foot 5 days $50.00
**Larger areas will be adjusted by Free Fair Board
ITEMS ALLOWED: old and new collectibles, antiques, plants, produce, crafts, clothing, tools, and more
ITEMS NOT ALLOWED: no alcohol, no vehicles or campers, no guns, no animals, no pornography or elicit material of any kind
Vendor Notes:
- The Fayette County Free Fair Board reserves the right to exclude other items if necessary
- There will be NO trash cans available. Vendors must take their trash with them. You MUST clean up your area before you leave!
- Any food being sold MUST be licensed by the Indiana Department of Health/the state’s Cottage Food Law. No license is needed for fruits and vegetables, but they must be sold uncut.
- To sell meat, your meat must be from a USDA inspected facility or a state inspected equivalent. You will also need a retail food establishment license from your local health department or state department of agriculture to sell packaged meat.
